Origin Story
Grown by smallholder farmers of the Sidamo Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union in the highlands of Sidamo-Benesa, these exceptional beans are cultivated at elevations between 1,600-1,800 meters above sea level. For generations, farming families in this region have nurtured coffee trees under the shade of indigenous trees, using traditional methods passed down through centuries. The natural processing method—where coffee cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness and dried on raised beds under the Ethiopian sun for 15-21 days—creates the distinctive fruity notes, full body, and caramel sweetness that make Sidamo coffee legendary. Each purchase directly supports over 80,000 smallholder farmers and their families, helping preserve both their livelihoods and the birthplace of coffee itself.
